Recent events have led me to a place of uncertainty. It's a level of uncertainty that is none like I've every experienced. I think we all experience it at times on smaller levels, but to truly be in a place where you have no control over an aspect of your well being is pretty scary. I know I'm speaking vaguely, but just know that Will has been and is in a difficult place.
I think in these times I see so much value in what I know to be true. Pure truth is found in scripture and in my relationship with God. In my weakness its easy to be frustrated and dismiss that God doesn't care or that reading this kind of stuff is pointless. It's when I break down and realize this kind of problem isn't new to God and that His love and grace are in the minutest of details, even when I don't acknowledge it, even when I don't FEEL it.
I was encouraged by these passages today(thank you Sarah) and can't think of a better way to conclude this entry. May you be blessed...
I Corinthians 3-5
All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.
JOB 13-20
"Still, if you set your heart on God
and reach out to him,
If you scrub your hands of sin
and refuse to entertain evil in your home,
You'll be able to face the world unashamed
and keep a firm grip on life, guiltless and fearless.
You'll forget your troubles;
they'll be like old, faded photographs.
Your world will be washed in sunshine,
every shadow dispersed by dayspring.
Full of hope, you'll relax, confident again;
you'll look around, sit back, and take it easy.
Expansive, without a care in the world,
you'll be hunted out by many for your blessing.
But the wicked will see none of this.
They're headed down a dead-end road
with nothing to look forward to—nothing."
Lamentations 3:24-26
God's loyal love couldn't have run out,
his merciful love couldn't have dried up.
They're created new every morning.
How great your faithfulness!
I'm sticking with God (I say it over and over).
He's all I've got left.
God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits,
to the woman who diligently seeks.
It's a good thing to quietly hope,
quietly hope for help from God.
It's a good thing when you're young
to stick it out through the hard times.
When life is heavy and hard to take,
go off by yourself. Enter the silence.
Bow in prayer. Don't ask questions:
Wait for hope to appear.
Don't run from trouble. Take it full-face.
The "worst" is never the worst.

Smells...
This concept struck me yesterday and thought I would share it. Have you guys ever noticed random smells that are completely out of context? For instance at our church there is a initial door that leads to the mens bathroom followed by a second door that actually allows you into the facility. Now in that tight pre bathroom area there is the distinct smell of rancid BO. Why, I have no clue. Once you enter the bathroom the smell goes away it's just in that small pre bathroom corridor where the stench lives. Everybody knows bathroom smells but this is different, It baffles me. I have formed some of the following theories:
1. There is a homeless man who resides in the drop ceiling directly over the pre bathroom corridor.
2. There is a hidden secret passage way that leads you to the nearest nursing home.
3. A scorcerer has put a BO enchantment on our churches pre bathroom corridor.
4. Men at our church smell like rotten chili.
I know this isn't the most pleasant blog to read, but I'm sure many of you have experienced the random out of context smell phenomenon and hopefully your story is of the more pleasant of smells. Feel free to comment if you can relate.

I don't know how the gypsies do it...
Traveling can be fun, but i find myself feeling very displaced after about three weeks of coming and going. The good news is that for two of those trips I got to see Sarah which brings me much delight. My latest trip was to Litchfield by the sea, off the Carolina coast, where Sarah was able to join myself and the family for some coastal funtime. Beach, Pool, Scrabble, Catch Phrase, Botanical gardens full of naked sculptures, seafood, Transformers, fireworks, shopping, I mean, what else could you want?
As fun as all of these things were, I still had to say goodbye, yet again, to my amazing girl. I think I'd trade all of it just to live in the same city as Sarah. I pray for patience and hope that all of your summers have been phenomenal.
I leave you a pic of my beauty and me,
Will

Roll Out!!
Last night I saw an advanced screening of Transformers and it was nothing short of incredible. Listen, I know that there are countless babes who read my blog, but even you guys should check this movie out. Just the effects alone are worth the price of admission and can honestly say they are RIDICULOUS. I could also listen to Peter Cullen(the voice of Optimus Prime) maybe even more than Morgan Freeman narrarating Shawshank Redemption. So many reasons why this movie should be viewed. Did I mention it NEVALOSES!!
On another note, I'm leaving for the beach today and could not be more excited. As many of you know I'm in a long distant relationship with a beauty named Sarah. She is going to join my family for some beach fun for the next 5 days.(Sorry Laura, I meant beach boring time that will be miserable and lame). I'll try to post some pics in the coming days of our adventures with Mama Gayle, Ron and company.
Be Awesome,
Will
