Jesus Loves Us

Hello friends. I hope your Tuesdays are all going along swimmingly. I can see the sunshine in the pattern of the blinds as it reflects on my desk. It is beautiful outside and I love the long days! I can't wait to be with hubs, doing something outdoors with the extra daylight:)

As a lot of you know, we recently got our own place and have been living at our little home for about 1 and 1/2 months. We absolutely love it. It couldn't be more perfect for us right now. It has its little quirks and we’re having to change how we do some things. For example, there’s no dish washer. Fortunately, my formative years of hand washing dishes are definitely coming in handy. We have said, though, that there is something beautiful in doing the dishes and they are already dry and put away. There’s not much counter space, so “drip drying” isn’t much of an option. Now, while there isn’t much counter space, there is a lot of cabinet space. If any of you visited us in Alpharetta, you may remember that we had incredibly little cabinet space, so that is an absolutely wonderful thing.

We also were given a little storage unit below our apartment, so the few things that don’t fit or we’re not able to use right now are able to be stored for free. We were using a storage unit for all of our stuff, while living with the Troutmans and they were footing the bill, so we’re very glad to take that off their hands.

Well, the blog is entitled as such because of the immense blessings that we’ve experienced so far while living here in Columbia. God has showed his love for us in different ways and in His perfect timing. We’ve had the privilege of living rent free for the past 5 months. We’ve also pretty much had all of our expenses covered by the generosity of family. Making this transition with no job, no place of our own and no real money saved could have been impossible or insanely stressful. However, we have experienced the most humbling outpouring of generosity and love.

With that said, God provided a job and place to live in the perfect timing. He promises to give us the desires of our hearts and also promises to never give us more than we can handle. We were both itching like crazy to have our own place and God really opened the doors in just the right time.

The Lord, in all of his goodness, also recently outpoured financial blessing on us. When we were still overwhelmed with joy at our tax return, sweet friends of ours blessed us with an incredibly generous gift. Wow, do we feel God’s presence or what?? He is so in love with us. He didn’t have to do any of this and He would still be more than worthy of praise, but we are grateful and humbled. Thank you to our amazing God.

You’re all loved and we truly hope that you are experiencing the blessings of God in both the small and large ways. He is good. So good.

Don't really have any pics of our place yet, so I'll just leave you with a few randoms:)
